    Spoiler

I like all the critical thinking taking place here, but you guys are all proving my point in making this post. You’re all giving hypothetical scenarios that we can argue until the end of time. Some of this shit just needs to be removed altogether. Let’s go back to when the cops relied on just skill and game sense. Cops are always going to have advantage even without all the extra bullshit that keeps getting added exclusively for cops.
It was all good when the cops got the drones.

It was all fine and dandy when the cops got the 50 calls (although they have been removed for some reason)

but this has just been a continuous trend of shit just being added continuously for cops only and rebels don’t get any new vehicles or weapons.

On top of that, we significantly increased the prices of suicide vests and added explosives that cannot profit you a single thing as a rebel.

I’m glad you all see something needs to change here

    It's like a case of,
Want what the APD have? Play as a Cop.
Want what the Rebels have? Play as a Rebel.

APD doesn't have everything. Not even close. In contrast to Rebels - we don't have access to certain vehicles, certain weapons, Cartels, Housing, money making methods (besides bounties pretty much), RPGs, Grenades, etc etc etc. We're pretty damn barren as a faction in regards to what we have and can do. It's not a luxurious life being APD. It's really an acquired taste to have fun on cop, and especially climb the ranks. We've just got cheaper gear basically kinda lol.

...but if the APD gets downing rounds for them, rebels should be able to buy downing rounds for them also.

Not hate or anything, but can you just fathom the sheer chaos that this would cause? LMAO

I'm just picturing it. Cops have to respond to a bank. 5 Rebels with 7.62 downing (defensive positions) vs 8 Constables/Corporals with 5.56 downing (pushing in papermade cars) and all the cops get downed within minutes and kept down by rebels for the rest of the ^10 minutes. Bro 💀

    Month(s) of Absence: October

Reason: September has been a low month for almost everyone on Youtube since that's when about 80% of schools across the world start. I've been handling it well but I'd like a month to focus on making sure my Youtube Channel stays consistent in regards to views and content, as well is keep on that voiceover grind. I'll still be around in TS, playing when I can on the side, and handling Training Officer Command duties - but I'll utilize the time off for content/my job/livelihood.

    Thank you! 💪❤️

this topic is not for people who only play cop thank you

It affects cops, therefore they have a say. Similar to when cops want the smallest thing and "people who only play rebel" pitch in.

More pardons would be horrific tbh 💀

                                                                                     (Edit 11/30)

For those who aren't aware or haven't seen, @Bilbo Bagginshas retired from Training Commander and has put me in place as Commander. We also have @Jr4life24who got recently promoted within the team to Training Team Supervisor. Bilbo will retain the role of Training Officer (similar to how a retiring Captain still holds Captain perms in game to an extent).

As of 11/30/22 @Junkerhas been promoted to the role of Training Team Commander. All Training Team duties will continue the same and I will continue to help guide the Team whenever needed!

    - We've migrated the Training server over so I'm maintaining it monetarily into the foreseeable future, as it stays up.

    - @ObiWokiand @Mitchare both still acting devs for the Training Server when needed. ❤️

    - The Training Hub is now apart of the default server and will be used as the core area to train officers which should make trainings a little more fun and different.

    - Coming soon, there will be fun competitive trainings that will have main server money rewards for the top performing officers. For example a shoot house that whoever has the fastest time clearing it gets 75k, etc. Things like that! Making it more fun and worth it overall while still practicing skills.

    - I don't personally speak for SWAT, but they will be hosting their tryouts/trainings on the Training Server which can be seen in APD-Announcements on the discord (similar to normal trainings), so keep a look out for those if you're interested. Feel free to even reach out to a SWAT TO if you have any questions (also check their posts in the Training Center for more info).

    ----------------------------------------------------
You're always welcome to make a post in the Training Center if you'd like to request a training. We don't get those much anymore, so feel free to think of unique ideas that we can host as well! Even if it's just a basic training that you and a few other officers would like to see, make a post about it.

Also, if you're interested in becoming a Training Officer, keep on the lookout for an updated post about applications being open!

Promoting a server on a game with a dying playerbase on TikTok is retarded. The days of Arma 3 being big are over, stop living in 2015 and just accept that you cant revive a dying game.

That’s why your mom named you bread. ❤️

The game being dead holds little weight to viewership and traction on a social media platform. Why’s the game dead? Because it has no traction right now. Why’s asylum low on player count? Because it’s just really been the same people coming back and playing with nothing really “fresh” or new.

With tiktok, the algorithm doesn’t care if you’re posting about a dead game. All that matters is that the content is entertaining to some degree. This was my original point. We still have entertaining moments all the time on this game, otherwise, why play lol. So if the staff can figure out how to make this clip submission idea work, it will work long term. Even on a small scale.

Some promotion and marketing is better than no promotion and marketing.

Long story short, it’s way more worth trying the idea out than not trying it. The pros outweigh the cons 10:1. Focus on the bigger picture.

Gunna be interesting when a semi-popular+ streamer joins, who does not make short clips and leave immediately when side-chat or some toxic person remarks some TOS things. I mean, might turn out like District 10 lel.

Well again, this post is an idea based on what the already established community can contribute via clips. The purpose is to showcase entertaining clips from the asylum community (any kind really) and that brings in normal players, not streamers or content creators. If creators come along, it is what it is. Mitch can prepare for things like that to some degree I’m sure, but his target audience isn’t content creators, it’s normal people who he can hopefully create an attachment to the community with and keep around. Content creators will help bring in views, but if he can do that *ON HIS OWN*, that’s even more beneficial to the community tbh. Organic growth, instead of purchased advertising. He’ll have more control

But in a similar case, sure… those normal people will see the toxic shit and not like it. But that’s how it is. Especially on ARMA 3. You’ll get that really in any community you got to now. But if Mitch and the staff can optimize for as many normal players to join the server as possible, we’re in a good position. At least 20-30% of those people that come by, will likely stick around for a while (hopefully haha).

    In my opinion:
People are too toxic here too be able to comfortably stream due to the amount of TOS things that are said in side chat + voice.
It would not be smart to stream unless a crackdown on that type of TOS stuff happens.

I somewhat agree, but in relation to my OP, this wouldn't have any bearing thankfully. Asylum Staff would be able to sift through submitted clips (I'm sure it wouldn't be A LOT or anything depending on the reward system, etc) and be able to choose what clips they'd like to use. Then editing would help censor things more if needed.

Promoting the Asylum community would get us all canceled lmao.

you'd think, but we'd be in control of everything that gets posted. Censors, bleeps, cuts, final checks, etc. On a serious note though, that actually wouldn't be an issue in post production. Also I'm sure people wouldn't submit cancel-worthy clips.

i feel like this could honestly work lmao. i heard tiktok views are crazy

I've gotten like 50+ million views total on my shit. I could help them out with tactics and stuff if they choose to do this. It's not toooooo hard to gain some traction.

  11. Putting this here because I've mentioned it a few times in some different places. Seems like people kind of like the idea. Just not sure how staff would go about doing it, who would handle it, etc. I'm sure others have some ideas, but at the end of the day as long as an idea doesn't really have a majority % negative impact, no harm in trying it out!

    --------------------------------------------------
Asylum Tiktok Account (Could also make a Youtube account and repost the shorts on there for more traction)

-> Asylum Staff creates an Asylum Tiktok Account
-> Puts the forums (or link to server IP) in bio on tiktok
-> Create a reward system where players are encouraged to submit clips that are meme'y/funny/epic (to maybe like a google forms which gets formatted inside of an attached google sheets for organizational purposes)
-> Create clause in the submission where any clips submitted, Asylum has right to use for monetary/advertising/copyright purposes

-> Take clips and use basic editing to compile them into multiple shorts that can be posted a couple times weekly or bi-weekly (Not as much effort as it sounds)
-> The best performing clips each month get rewards in game/creates/titles/etc (for incentive to have more clips submitted)
-> Asylum technically gets free marketing as long as they put a little effort into running a tiktok (and other similar accounts) account
-> Asylum could also turn these weekly clips into monthly long form videos on a youtube channel for even MORE promotion/gain

Even with Arma 3 being "dead" an entertaining clip is still an entertaining clip at the end of the day, and knowing tiktok - shit can blow up. Even on Youtube as well with its Shorts program. I genuinely feel this is a foolproof idea that would take extra time of course, but would likely lead to a slightly (or if lucky a big) increase in traffic to the community if done right with enough dedication.

At the end of the day, you can have an amazing idea/product, but with virtually no promotion for said idea/product, no one will ever come to know of its existence.

    ez game plan.

Wipe the APD too and make them all reapply and do their cadet week and ridealong 😎

We might as well be doing this at the start of a wipe anyway since we all start with Day 1 Cadet gear and that lasts a while depending on how lucky we get or how much we grind day 1. Could last a handful of days depending on the person. So pretty much a shortened Cadet period. It's like that for every rank off the bat too, so pretty much.

Good 'ol slash bandoliers, protector, no flashes, no defibs, etc 🤣
