    1) We have always played the server because we enjoy it. We didn't spend the amount of time we did (Thousands of hours in some of our cases) on a server we didn't like. That would be ridiculous.
    2) That said, now that we have put in the effort to be where we are, we would like to enjoy the rewards of the time and effort we put in. Which includes not losing it all.
    3) As for what percentage of the server is veteran players: Since at the recent community meeting it was stated that Asylum has had a recent problem bringing in a large amount of new players, I would guess probably most of them? We're 'veteran players' because we have played for a long time AND are still here. Otherwise we'd just be 'former players'.

I would like to think, or at least hope, that this is a joke. We are a police force, not the mafia. We capture criminals, not become them. The APD has no business being at a cartel other than the current reasons we would be. (APB Track, Warrant Track, Pursuit, etc.) And there does not need to be any more. Cartel fights are already scarce. And for smaller gangs they are already risky and expensive enough without having to contest with a faction that can come back with loadouts that they practically don't even need to pay for.

To all officers of the APD,

Recently, the APD Training Team has run into an issue that resulted in many of our resources pertaining to the Mock-Certification program to become unusable, leaving the program in a state that it could not function. In order to get the program back up and running as soon as possible, I have taken the time to sit down and recreate the program from almost stage one. While this will not have a great effect on most of you in the APD, there are a few changes to how the program operates now that you should all be aware of.

First off, I want to start by stating that officers who were already mock-certified will maintain their certification. For any new officers looking to join the program, however, there has been a slight change to how officers become mock-certified. In the past, officers were required to submit an application for mock-certification prior to going for an interview. However, this system proved to be ineffective and unnecessary. Going forward, no application will be required to attain a mock-certification interview. Rather, you need only to approach a Training Officer and request an interview to become mock-certified. They will ask you for your application so they can check if you meet the requirements to become a mock-certified officer. If you do, you may go forward and take your interview at that point in time.

The requirements to receive an interview are as follows:

    - Must have been a constable for a minimum of 1 month
    - Must be in good standing in the APD (No active disciplinary action)
    - Must have attended at least 2 trainings

For further information about the APD Training Team's Mock Certification Program, you can find all of the training team's policy, including policy about the mock program in the Training Information of the wiki under the APD Dashboard found here.

If you have any further questions that neither this post, nor the wiki can answer, feel free to contact me at any point in time via a message on the forums or a message on discord, and I will respond to you as soon as I am able.

    Regards,

I waited from April, 2016 to July, 2016 for my interview, and I didn't feel the need to complain once. No one has had to wait anywhere near that long in ages, so yes, patience is the key. All the current LTs are required to do a least 8 of these per month to stay at their rank. And, like you said, all of us have real lives to take care of, and don't want to spend all our free time doing interviews for a game, we want to play the game.

    Greetings,

This coming weekend (Oct. 22nd - Oct. 24th), the APD training team will be hosting a Leadership Academy for officers between the ranks of Constable and Sergeant. This academy will consist of multiple days of training, covering a number of topics relating to leadership in the APD. Our aim in this is to provide officers who wish to attend the chance to show initiative towards the APD by demonstrating that they have the drive and willingness to improve themselves, and ideally showing themselves as more capable candidates for promotion. That said, with this being the first academy hosted since the recent revamping of the APD Training Team, we will be limiting attendance for this academy to a maximum of 15 officers, so only the first 15 to sign up will be able to attend. Officers of the rank LT+ are free to attend without signing up and without taking a slot, since this is intended for lower ranking officers to get a chance to better themselves, and work towards achieving a higher rank down the road. Currently, the schedule for the academy dates and times is as follows:

    - Day I: 10/22/21 | 2200 EST
    - Day II: 10/23/21 | 2200 EST
    - Day III: 10/24/21 | 2200 EST

If you wish to apply to attend this academy, you must be a Constable, Corporal, or Sergeant. Officers will receive credit for each day of training received marked on their application, and each day will count as one of the trainings needed to apply for Corporal. However, officers will only receive full credit for completing the Leadership Academy if they successfully attend all three days of training. We look forward to seeing those of you who attend!

It's hard to say for sure. Per Training Team policy, the minimum is 45 mins. Depending on how quickly information is covered, how many questions people have (If any) and how long any scenarios/combat takes will determine the overall length. Though I would hope to be done within about an hour or less, I would try to set aside at least an hour and a half if possible, in case it runs long.
