@Clint BeastwoodStop silencing me or you will pay the price old man, run me my fade.

Asylum in general is kinda lame. Its dull its need a spiced up patch to get things moving again. Everyone know's it will happen eventually just depends on how long they wait and how much of the old player base leaves.

People are expecting a big patch for 8.0, but its not happening. It'll just be a bunch of patches and fixes by @Gnashes. We'll only get a fat update if either @bamf spends endless hours on it, or Paratus comes back from the dead and revives Asylum himself with back to back content

  2. If Paratus is so concentrated on Identity, how comes they aren't releasing any of the updates the backers where promised

or the town hall that was promised to come out early this year?

The work rate is either dead slow, or the ambitions of the game is to high for such a team to accomplish. But you know :kermit:

I think its more of a deep rooted issue at this point, some other communities have similar issues.  Its probably an issue in the original coding due to a BI update as opposed to something added.  It pretty much requires Paratus to address, speaking to Gnashes he and Bamf have tried all they can think of.

What people are missing is, is that these Kicks started on Asylum exactly a year ago. Other communities only started having them recently.

Nothing to do with the new patch that effected Asylum, it was something that happened last year.

  4. Now the issue with gangbases is that Asylum doesn't have NLR.

It works on other life servers that support a strict NLR system without giving the gangs a significant advantage, however within Asylum, you can respawn, get geared, grab a helicopter and fly back to your previous fighting location within minutes if you have a gangbase, compared to a gang that has to spawn, say in Donor and has to do everything the normal way.

I support gang bases, I think they are a awesome idea, had them on previous servers. However it simply won't fit Asylum with the current way the rules are now.

even when "opened" will half of the time blow up your hemmit cause it can't fit due to the gate's 75% open animation.

    This ^^

No idea what the logic behind it was @Gnashes but Ifrits and trucks barely fit. When you cut the gates, they should actually fully open. I've had my Ifrit stuck countless amount of times, even worse for Hemmts. They barely fit and the only way to actually drive through is if you go 1kmh and 'thread the needle'.

Worse for both factions. Hard for Blufor Armour to get in at decent speed, hard for anything to escape because you spend a good minute finding the right angle if you don't get stuck or get Arma'd and rip all your wheels.

Hey lads and lasses! Heard a lot of feedback that content is stale, so just wanted to see if there was anything you were thinking would be a nice addition. Ways to make money and ways to spend it!

What things are you craving or maybe something you have seen elsewhere?

    - wetsuit

    - medic changes

PLEASE let's not make this into a "fix the mass kicks" or "Paratus give so and so powers" stuff I do not have control of.

    :100::flame:

Now lets hope Paratus gives you feedback on these suggestions.

  7. The only solution is Paratus. He either gives creative power to those who can do something about it, or comes back to implement some big things himself. Gnashes, Bamf and Speed can't do much as everything has to go through Paratus. Look how long it took for us to get armour stacking even though Gnashes had the script ready for ages.

We all want the Rotor Script gone, Gnashes can make that happen, but it has to come from Paratus first. Pretty much applies to anything that Gnashes, Bamf and Speed want to get done.

All he has to do is give more creative power to someone, if he's worried about that person messing things up in terms of balance, well he should start doing things himself then slowly letting the server die.

The fact of the matter is that we have fallen behind on development due to the inability for us to add new content without first passing it through Paratus, which takes an unreasonable amount of time; we are no longer the #1 most developed life server as a result. So yes, due to the lack of support from Asylum's owner, as well as @Gnashes essentially being the only one contributing code at this point, I think it is fair to say that Asylum is in fact on its way out.

  9. I haven't seen a Orca used in combat in nearly 6 months on Asylum. Played on another server recently, in 1 fight, the police and rebels attempted to hot drop wave after wave. It felt like I was playing the Asylum we all loved again.

It sucks so bad, that all it takes is a couple 9mm shots and you've grounded a 100k 180k helicopter. To add onto that, armour is expensive, cops make much less than they did before so its not worth pulling anything out for them. Putting server stability a side, all these small changes here and there are just making Asylum less and less fun to play.

I've said this in the past and I'll say it again, Asylum was popular because it was the Arcade of Life servers with just the right moderation, it was simple, easy and fun.

  10. Paratus is a smart developer, always has whats best for the server in mind, there was a reason Asylum was uncontested in being the best Life server for multiple years. As soon as Paratus stopped giving a shit and started doing some questionable changes, other servers started catching up in terms of development. Asylum is no longer the most developed server, to add onto that, Asylum was popular for its amazing gang life, that has also died.

Props to Bamf, Gnashes and Speed, however they are simply not enough to take Asylum back to its prime, Paratus is the only one that can do that.

I wouldn't say Asylum is dying, thats not the case, however we are indeed doing much worse than Asylum in its prime 1-2 years ago. Donations, player base, active gangs etc.. is a sign of all that. When you add on stability issues onto questionable changes Paratus has made, you are left with a not so popular Asylum.
