Regarding the actual topic though,
I've been through depression before and I admittedly am going through one as of recent, 
That shit scars you(sometimes literally), and is a horrible thing to go through.
In our age, where kids consider playing Fortnite together as a "social activity", many teens fall down to depression, and its sad.

My escape is music, with others it can be spilling it out, maybe getting away from society for a bit, anything that makes you feel safer, and helps you get through.
If anyone needs a place to spill their heart at, find someone you trust, or even some random off the internet and spill it, you'll feel better.
 
Obviously I'll be around as well if you need someone to talk to(discreetly obviously), I know how that feels.

I made one of these before like a year ago after getting permed thinking I wouldn't come back but eventually I did after getting unbanned. But this is my last one for sure as I'm not going to be playing this server anymore. I know some of you guys don't care for these but I don't really care.
I started playing Arma late 2015 when I got my computer. After I got my computer only person I knew was @pLayToy from Xbox from the MW2 days. He bought Arma for us and we then played on Asylum. My very first gang I joined was Continental Army, I was a Kavala rat but then I met @Gravity which bought me my very first rebel gun. After Continental Army, @Tricks, @pLayToy, and I joined Retribution which was one my first cartel gangs with some good people like @Storm7, @King, and some others. After that gang I met some people like mike xdd which me and him played with Latin Kings. Then I applied for Bratva where I met the boys who I still talk to today, @ChicoXL, @JaeJae, @Keneith, and some others. Once that gang fell apart, we made our gang Valiant which led into Decimation where Lawless and us merged. After that gang I applied to join Prime which was in like Nov 2016. Thats where I met some people like @Tiger, @Addon, @troublesome, @Shepurd and some other cool people that I still play with today like @Drew, After Prime disbanded, I made my own gang, Stellar with @ChicoXL, @Squirtle, I met a lot of great people like @Dally, @TryHardSqueaker, @OperationSB, @Chungo, @Sk7 and @Chester GoldPenis, but after Stellar falling through the roof so many times I joined Temper. Then towards the end I met another good group of friends @Tyrese, @Dom, @Term, @Clockwerk, @BaDaBiNg_10-8, @Nino Brown and some other career cops. Throughout my whole time on Asylum, I always thought that Envy always hated me, but I feel like we became friends at one point even though we didn't talk at all. Only times would be in the Holding Cell or in my stream, @Sheep, @Azeh, @Anthony_, @Wang Liqin
As of now, I see there is no future of Asylum and I hate to see that because this is where I first started. I want to see this go on for more but like most people say things come to an end,

I wasn't trying to write a big life long story but just to write a history of my time with Asylum. I met a lot of chill people here, cant tag most but I give a big shout out to all the Prime boys, that was my very first good gang that gave me a chance. I remember I was going to get kicked with my 2 week trial week but my boy @troublesome came through having them extend my trial. Goodbye everyone <3

In regards to the gang activity question....
Moving on to your first post. The issue was not with the question you were asking and the general inquiry that you presented. Reading through the post, I found that the issue was within the responses that some people provided. I too agree that our player base is in a bit of a dip right now. I could site many times that we have gone through this and provide some data to back it up. But I truly don't believe that this will help to address your concerns. 
 
Moving on. 
 
A point that a few people pointed out the "Stellar issue". Since you are not aware, I'll get you up to speed there. A while ago, we implemented a donation reward system that allowed the community to donate towards a common goal that benefited everyone. This was a great system and there are a lot of great incentives within. However, there are people within the community that decided to knowingly abuse and exploit the rewards that this provided for their un-natural personal gain. This was a huge disappointment to everyone on the administration team due to the scale of people doing it. Not to mention, many of these people that exploited the system, admins were familiar with and from time to time played with. When we started to uncover the actions at hand, we placed bans on peoples accounts and reset them. A long-standing common practice for Asylum. We take duping violations seriously due to the ability for illegitimate players to ruin the experience of players who work hard to grind their cash. Think about the repercussions of a player with 1,000,000 dollars in their account. If they had to work to earn that cash, they are going to be wise with how they spend it. If you have a player with the same amount of cash who exploited the system to gain it, they are not going to care how they spend it as they can just get it back in a very short amount of time. This lack of care can cause any person to be reckless. That's the biggest reason we have a firm and harsh stance on it, we want to look for your gameplay.  Their gang thread was hidden due to the continued messages about moving servers. That's fine, it's their choice and I personally won't beg anyone to stay. Especially when they're leaving because they are upset they made the decision to exploit a system and are now being held accountable.  We will not give people a platform to advertise moving to any other community. If that's their desire, then they may do so. 
Moving on to the mentioned "Poor Administrative Decisions"
In my time here on the team of staff, I have never found any person that was banned by an admin to be thrilled about being banned. There are roughly 6 people that I can recall to ever take accountability for their actions when being held accountable by any staff member.  We have guidelines in place that the admins operate within. You have @Leady  and I to contact if you believe you have been wronged. We always advocate you to contact the admin in question before contacting us again. Often times, once a line of communication is opened, they often find a middle ground. With that being said, often people here on the internet would rather sound like a jackwagon to get a sound clip to look cool in front of their internet friends. Many players straight our disrespect staff when speaking with them, and in turn, completely reduce their chances of getting any further help on that issue. Plain and simple, when you find yourself in that situation, take accountability for what you have done, learn from it and move on. It's the best advice I can give to anyone.  
Server performance issues
I understand that everyone is terribly irritated with the server performance issues. This is the number one priority that everyone that has the capacity to fix, is working on. Often, post about this issue is a bit tongue in cheek. The server owners are more bothered by this than anyone else here. It's their company and it's a direct representation. They truly are working their hardest to make the most ground that they can. There are millions of areas within the code that could be causing these issues. We recently moved to a new host provider to help diagnose these issues. I can confidently say that we have seen some improvement from this move, we see less server restarted needed manually each day than we did before. This coupled with the ton of changes to the mission file. However, I do understand that the end user does not always see these changes, and that has to be extremely frustrating. As you can see in many of my posts, I am always grateful for the amount of support we get from our players. We all realize it's your decision to be here, and we are grateful that each and every one of you. Without you, we would have nothing. We owe our absolute best to every member to provide the best experience we can. Sadly, there is no easy button. We are truly confident that we are doing the absolute best that we can with some of the greatest people out there. 
 
Censoring content
This has always seemed to be a push button topic. I personally do not have a hard time responding to legitimate questions, but I often don't get the chance before it's turned into a witch hunt. So to create a better line of communication and to provide an area for these questions and answers to be heard by everyone. I will create a Q&A section. In this section, any member can ask a question and either Leady, Badabing, Clint and I will be able to respond to it. Be advised that the questions will not show at first and must be approved to weed out the people who are just doing it for the memes. However, just because it's a hard question to answer, doesn't mean that we won't. There will be further guidelines and details released on this soon. 
 
As always, my inbox is open for anyone to contact if they have general questions and concerns. I often have great conversations with people who take it seriously.

A lot of us wernt in our Prime today but we managed to pull through.  I ended up DEAD AGAIN in all of the rounds but luckily my guys could pull through. 

APD easy as 123 is what i always say. In closing,  allthough some of our ifrit pushes were as deadly as a Beached Whale... Integrity wins the day.

Been here for 4+ years.  Yes it is.  Anytime something does not go in favor of the big gangs they flip out and cry.  Been that way a long time.
It might just be the vocal minority, most of it on forums,  I could definitely concede that.   I just think it is funny that people started bitching about cops going to donor(safe space) and now there is a policy against cops going there   One that an admin was quick to make sure people knew it was a cop rule and not admin rule.   That would lead me to believe they did not agree with decision,  this is my own opinion so I could be wrong of course. 

In my opinion, I can see some arguments on both sides. I do think that Therisa should have a bounty hunter shop, just like every other town in the game. I do not think that cartel fighters should be playing a different game than everyone else on the server. I understand they want to fight and do not want to be bounty hunted but they should not be limited to staying on one side of the map that police can no longer patrol and have almost no risk of being caught unless there is a large group of bounty hunters.
I suggest that a bounty hunter shop be added much like the Sofia one. It would be out of town and people would have to drive to go gear up just like rebels do. There should be another vehicle pull on the other side of the town so bounty hunters cannot camp a single spawn. Add a second gun store in town to give rebels a fighting chance to grab an SDAR so people cannot camp one gun store. I see no reason why we cannot find a happy medium for both sides.
 
EDIT: Maybe remove the courthouse from town and replace it with a BH shop. This way rebels have a chance to chase down and free their friends. Would fit with the new APD policy update saying all the civilians left. Nobody is left to work the courthouse so you have to take them to another town.
 
EDIT 2: Also at a BH shop you cannot buy blindfolds. You can see where your teammate is at all times to save him. You also cannot buy any weapon bigger than a 5.56. You can also only get a tac vest from the clothing store so you can be 1 tapped from nearly any gun. 

Therisa is a city just like Kavala / Pyrgos / Athira / Sofia, and they all have BH shops. You play on a RP / Life server with other civilians, medics, cops, bounty hunters. You should be subject to them just like anyone else that plays the game . Cartel fighters shouldn't be exempt from these things simply because you want Wasteland gameplay on Asylum's settings.
Also, THREE new rebels were just added. Consider using one of them!
