I think you're over estimating the effect of having a 400 second longer cool down...

Please refer to my previous post instead of trying to ego me by asking if I fight cartels. I played this server when it was dying 6 months ago with 20 minute cooldown, and even only drug having a 10 minute cooldown caused an insane lack of re-pushes from both my gang and enemy groups. It's just not fun unless your objective is to farm billyunz at the lab.

 

There's a reason the most roleplay-y and farming friendly server (olympus) has zero cooldowns. It's just more fun.

ill be playing and fighting cartels for the next few days like usual, if me, my gang mates, or anyone in sidechat complains about it ill note it down and we'll talk over it. Lets just see what the effects of this are.

and as mitch said before, something weird happened during the update process and not everything made it in including the cartel cooldown so we will likely have to wait a few more days before we can see the results/consequences of the cooldown.

Im at 14% success rate currently. I was spoiled with my old talents etc.

The cool downs have been in place for like 7+ years at this point. I personally think its nice. The only thing more annoying then someone capping your cartel when you are fighting another is someone who waits till your gang is specifically doing something else and they go take it for a free cap. It somewhat wards off people from taking it who have no real intention of fighting over it at all.

You can also make 1 mil in 20 minutes now from cartels. If you want to go and make meth without a cut being taken out you should be able to defend it at all times. Not only are you making maximum profit from the Meth you are also making millions from the cartels.

I mean yes it can be annoying to be constantly jumping back and forth on cartels because some rats are trying to take it behind your back but it’s keeping fights going and cartels are popping instead of a big fight every 30 or so minutes it can be almost continuous fighting if you are trying to control all of them. Plus the more active cartels takes pressure off fed events being the main fights on the server.
