How it works
For the entire first week of January we will log how much you have won playing Blackjack
The top 5 players who have won the most money will be invited to a black-tie event at the end of the week for a final showdown.
The top 5 players who will be playing in the black-tie event will start with a bankroll of 1 million and after 45 minutes of gametime whoever has the most money will be crowned with 7.5 million dollars and a custom in game title.
Event Starts January 1st 12:01 AM EST
Event Ends January 8th 11:59 PM EST.
The Black Tie Event will be Friday, January 13th at 8 PM EST.
Good luck!
IF YOU WANT TO PLAY
If you are going to play, please respond with your player ID so we can keep track of you.

I understand why the limit is needed in certain times for the server, but I and a lot of other officers believe that it would be best for us to remove this cop to civ ratio for the time being.
The issue that comes up with the ratio and the state of the server is if there is more than SEVEN cops online and someone who only mains Cop wants to come and play, they are going to get ratioed and wont be able to play cop. On paper you guys might think that the Officer will just go to play civ but it just doesn't work that way. There are people that only want to play cop and don't really care to play civ, and with how things are, I believe we should be trying to hold as many people playing as we can.
I believe we should allow Sergeant+ to help control where cops are and what they are doing which would help the issues that would arise if we do remove the ratio. This IMO would address almost all concerns that will come up when talking about this, if not id love to hear them below.

Thank you all for your patience while we worked on gaming-asylum. The day has finally arrived. Our reopening is here!
Starting today at 5 PM EST, The gates of asylum will officially reopen, and we can't wait to welcome you back to our server.
We are excited to share this moment with all of you and hope you are just as excited as we are.
Your feedback is invaluable to us in the upcoming days to make Asylum better for everyone, with that in mind we will be working on adressing any bugs and or issues in the upcoming week that might arise with this update.
See you soon on our server!

Please consider using the Asylum Launcher to download the mission file and join the server.
This helps the server by reducing load from everyone downloading the mission file at once and helps you get in the server faster! (on a normal connection it will take a second or two to download vs the full minute when downloading using the game itself) it will also launch the game and connect you straight to the server.

Those people should get a title or something, ya know, for that commitment.
I was one of them let me feel special about the time wasted invested

Bag Of Funyuns liked a post in a topic by Maaqs in Are you in favor of the new money prestige system?
At the first glance, against it to the fullest. I was set to be somewhere around 25-30mil with V2/V3 money combined and I was ready to just not care/worry about anything. I don't really buy sui vests or remote explosives on the regular anymore, but I enjoyed amassing that wealth years ago "for retirement" so I could play without any care or worry today (For the record, I grinded Eminent when there was still prestige).
Friend/gang mate needs a loadout? Gang needs an Ifrit? I do need to buy a sui vest to try and save a big bounty? I could buy it without a care in the world due to the late-night meth grinds years ago. But now with the prestige system, unless the rewards are JUICED or I can convert it back into money, it does feel like a small slap in the face.

Maaqs liked a post in a topic by Junke in CIV bans shouldnt translate to cop points
No you weren't just "the unlucky one." It is discretion how points for civ are given to cops. Typically RDM, VDM, etc on civ will not warrant points. If they are done on cop the banning admin will most likely have you receive points. Now racism is not tolerated no matter what faction you are on. When you are in a whitelisted faction you are seen as a face of the server by new players and are therefore held to a higher expectation. Racism, no matter what faction you are on, will warrant points. So no, you aren't unlucky, you just make poor decisions.

I 100% agree. Wiping everyone's progress was the biggest mistake the sever made. The reasoning behind it was flawed, as people having larger sums of money is what made the fighting part of the server so much better. And wiping everyone's talents was a big smack in the face towards those that were dedicated players who worked hard to get to where they were. It's weird how people didnt get a chance to enjoy the endgame perks for too long before they are essentially punished for reaching that point.
The server could have continued to introduce new content for players to enjoy, instead of just erasing everyone's progress.
Bro go play cod if you want constant fighting. Like rando said, it's a life server. Role play was the main point as to why people came and stayed. It is part of the brand.
People have enjoyed Coca-Cola for years, and it would be dumb for Coca-Cola to suddenly say "hey we shouldnt make soda anymore. We should switch to burgers."
That's how you sound.
Stop with the nonsense and get some help.
