    A quick update to address a few quality of life items on the rebel side:  
    The federal reserve has been reinforced with razor wire on top of most areas of the sandbags.   The Bank of Altis has moved back to Pyrgos.   The price of gold bars has increased.   Orca crafting prices have been adjusted due to the change in Orca purchase price.   Misc. bug fixes.   Hotfix 1:
    Changed the barbed wire at the federal reserve.  Still a work in progress. Changed the radius for the bank robbery charge to better fit the area in Pyrgos. Added a marker to show the illegal area when the bank is being robbed in Pyrgos. Patched a window at the bank.

    Basically what everyone has already replied to you about him not actually wanting or getting contributors. I reached out to him about becoming one and the message was looked at but ignored. Sure the only things I have implemented was the police light changes, but I could definitely do more.
    That's just one example of doing more. Considering I have a degree in software engineering I could basically do about anything. I've been part of APD senior staff for basically 3 years and have never received any disciplinary action or server bans. Yet I don't even get a reply about contributor.

    "Literally asking for contributors" but also literally accepting only one contributor.
    It's well known that others have reached out and have been ignored.
     
    Truth of the matter is the servers in general are hosted on a fucking toaster + there is no move from developers whatsoever to establish a connection with the community, therefore effectively dwindling the active population of said community. Whole thread posted above is PR bullshit, got people excited for literally nothing. All we have is a texture artist that makes nice skins locked behind $250 donor perks. 250 dollar donor perks that the entire population of the servers couldn't care less about because who in their right mind is going to support Asylum in it's current state? Maybe if the servers were upgraded from toasters to toaster ovens, there was developer-community interaction, and there were updates both in the informative and technical form... maybe people would start to come back.
     
    As of right now literally nothing is going to happen despite any amount of bitching. The development team doesn't give a fuck and Paratus is too busy posting pictures of bicycles and hats on twitter every other year as proof of "development" of a game that won't see the light of day until I'm well into my eighties.
    The end of these servers is approaching quickly, even more quickly when you factor in the "developers" ignorance to these problems.

    This is the current state of Asylum. I understand that people have better things to do in their lives then work on Asylum. If this is the case then move on. Let someone else who isn't tired and is ready to step up and fix things to do so. Holding a position in a community and then complaining about being too busy to do anything in that position is happening currently. What is the point of even holding that position at that point? We need to allow new people to help fix the servers. If this isn't the case then the servers will die. Clearly what we are doing isn't working. I also understand that this post will most likely get locked, hidden and tossed into the garbage. Please hear me out. I am in no way attacking anyone. I just want the servers to improve. The first step in doing this will be to make the people holding positions uselessly to step down. We also want to know what is going on. Updates not necessarily in the terms of content but in server performance would be greatly appreciated. Even tiny updates on the forums in the means of a simple post just letting us know that something is being done. All the hiding and avoiding questions is really getting old. Give us the community answers. Without us there wouldn't be a you. Please. @Paratus @Motown @bamf @Gnashes
    As I stated before, I am not attacking anyone here. I just want Asylum to be fixed. If that means making some people step aside to allow others to fill the position then so be it. People sitting in a position and complaining about not having time to actually do anything for that position should be asked to step aside. They took the position to help make Asylum better in the first place so now is the time to let someone else have the position that is actually willing to do something. Please help us fix Asylum.

    there is way more things to do as far as making money, illegal and legal the map is distributed very evenly, where every part of the map is used actively..
    there is more rebels, including "Warzone Rebel" which is east arms, and they sell Olympus version of a mini defib.."Epi Pen" which revives your teammate and they have a "dopamine" timer, so you must either get healed by a medic or go to a hospital..currently they are releasing a longer timer, or defib? not 100%
    loadouts & vehicles are much cheaper , as it is much easier to make money, you can get an orca and a turtle backpack and make around 500k in one meth run....., (two loadouts for fighting) in relatively 20-25 minutes, where as it takes quite a bit of work to make that on Asylum as the cops check drug areas 24/7 and there is no timer or wave rules to return, as for Olympus there is
    an orca costs around 500k i think and once you put the 150k insurance on it, it's 150k each time you lose it with insurance..
    that's 50k asylum for an orca, then 15k each time you crash it basically..but asylum orcas used to be 120-200k, which is 2million relatively olympus money...(fucking joke) literally thats 7-8 dollars $$ us for one vehicle, if i bought that on olympus you could get around 7-9 loadouts , or loadouts, heli, ifrit, all in one..the groups have no cap limit, there will literally be 3-4 gangs with 10-20 people each fighting for hours on end and there is not one single bit of lag you can claim ifrits you win at fights, they have gang sheds... 
     
    THERE IS NO FREEZERS AT THE CARTEL..if you own it, the money goes into your gang bank
    honestly the logic behind the freezers at the moment is broken..the admins don't see it how rebels do because they don't get on the server & go cap it..there is honestly no reason to get the cartel unless the freezer is full with 100k..so people dont even bother half the time..yeah let me go sit at the cartel for 30 minutes...then wait 30mins-1hour or however long it is for the money to fill up, fly my orca to the cartel...server kicks you off, you lose your orca & all the freezers are reset...and then when you finally do get there without getting kicked, there is some guy there with a fucking rook and kills you when you take the money , they even made it where you can't put it in your vehicle anymore back then! what a joke! people can watch you take the money out and wait at rebel..Mass kicks started happening...you'd think we'd be rewarded for dealing with it so calmly and trusting the process..but no, they nerf the firearm factory, making it where you need salt..they nerf drug running..they nerf scotch where you have to refresh your crates, they raise taxes on ifrits, orcas and if i'm not mistaken guns, they nerf panagia gun crafting & also nerf orca crafting...literally the only way to make money is doing meth..which is usually camped, or cops showing up every 10 minutes, all the bitching and moaning about everyone on server 5 when there is literally barely any ways to make fucking money anymore and they wonder why everyone just went there to make money?..
     
    their fed pays up to 4-10million i think? which is 400k-1m Asylum money
    they have blackwater..where you can get DMS scope, mar10,tons more and attachments, csats, armed quillin, striders, hunters, armed blackhawk..and you can sell these to other player or keep them
    they have a war point shop , selling csats(you cannot donate for them by the way)
     
    honestly im tired of naming things because the list goes on that they have that Asylum doesn't because it's honestly frustrating, we've all been so loyal to Asylum, we've all introduced so many ideas, they are  just all shut down...i mean server 2 was down for ages and there was no warning or post about it..we literally had to find out from a gyazo of a discord chat...(lul) 
     
    Asylum needs to hire a coder at this point..They definitely have the money..If Paratus actually gave a flying fuck about the thousands of people who donated to Asylum and donated to his new game he would do something about all this..Literally we are the sole reason he has all that money, must be nice..It's time for the staff to take a step back, admit the server is failing, do something about server 2 & 3..literally people have worked to get houses and setups on there for years...and you just take it away like it's nothing..."Ahh they will be alright, they'll adjust.." that's like taking your code for idenity paratus that you worked on for years and just deleting it...I don't think you'd like that very much...I owned several arma 2 overpoch servers that were semi-successful i earned around $7500 dollars in donations in the first 6 months, I tried to expand and did things my way and ignored my community...long story short it died because I didn't listen to my players..just a friendly warning

    Don't know what to say, really...
    I've had many all nighters, furious e-peen fights and RP nerd outs. Many new friends to account for it and many memories to truly cherish.
    I appreciate everyone I've met in my time. You guys got me through many rough days, whether with work, school or other burdens. I could escape it all through this community.
    I'd do the whole @ thing, but there's just too many names. You all know who you are. Much love.

    I like your MS Paint skills @Smee.  In terms of servers being full though, I could theoretically have brought S2 up last night given the server populations.  S2 has (mostly) been down b/c it runs on a non standard port and BIS had that screwed up until yesterday.  
    Paratus hopes to be done with the code I need to make all this work today.  That will give me a chance to test it tomorrow, and potentially put it into play for the weekend.  I think that the thing people are not thinking about here is that higher population servers tend to stay more full.  The hope is that we can bring in new people to the community by having servers that are more populated.  As that happens, the servers spin back up automatically - not on some schedule.  As I looked last night, you had to spam into S1 if you wanted to play there.  S3 and S4 both had ~90 players online.  That's good for the overall community.  
    I agree that little patch notes here and there are good as well.  I also agree that we need "new stuff", and I'm working on a new system that I think will at the least be interesting for people.

    Cop Changes
    1. Increase max pay for cops to 200k
    2. Change lethal pay for cops to 20% of players current bounty.
    *Increasing pay for cops gives cops more incentive for players to play cop and spread out among servers more evenly*
    Civ Changes
    3. Increase pay for heroin
    4. Decrease base price of rebel gear and vehicles by 10%. (3k saved on the average rebel loadout, 11k on ifrits, and 14k saved on orcas.)
    5. Keep current fridge system for cartels, but give option to put half of the dirty money straight into gang account in exchange for the other half of the dirty money (50k straight to gang account, other 50k  paid to hire money launderers)
    6. Cap servers at 80 players (Will not only make servers more stable, but will spread players to the other 3 servers instead of congesting on 1 or 2 of the 4 servers)
    7. Increase amount of Gold bars spawning in fed. (Currently high risk, but somewhat low reward and has been for awhile. Maybe keep the current gold bar system, but auto-spawn 5 gold bars in at restart. This would increase the max payout of a fed by 150k.)
    8. Add gang rankings. Could be earned and lost like war points but tied to a whole gang, not just an individual. Reaching certain gang rankings will unlock certain items, titles, or perks for members of that gang. (Examples - Spawn with 5 redgull, Additional 5% off rebel weapons, clothes, or vehicles. Names for titles could be just about anything. Additional clothing can consist of CSAT Ghillies, (AAF) and (NATO) Pilot Coveralls, Combat Fatigues (AAF) Officer, Combat Fatigues (CSAT) Officer (keep in mind officer fatigues csat does not give any ballistic resistance), Combat Helmet (Camo), Combat Helmet (Spraypaint), and many others.)   To make things more competitive give the top 3 highest ranking gangs a custom ifrit, .50 cal, or orca skin which would be exclusive to the top 3 gangs. Player's access to purchasing this skinned vehicle(s) would be lost upon losing a top 3 position in the gang rankings. To keep things fair and not just "big gang friendly" make some of the titles / perks /  items easier to achieve so the small and new gangs would be able to experience the gang ranking system as well.
    Instead of declaring war on a gang, possibly add a new feature and allow a gang to set another gang as a rival gang. This way it is a separate set of statistics then your war statistics. This system would also prevent a player from being spammed with more statistics and notifications every time they get a kill on a warring gang.

    These kind of posts has been made dozens of times, if not hundreds, however if we truly want Asylum to come back and thrive like it was we genuinely do need change. Here's one suggestion that can happen and be taken seriously so we can maybe see some features we all enjoy added.
    After playing on Olympus for a few days it doesn't feel anywhere as smooth as Asylum, however, one thing that Olympus did have is a 'Civilian Representative' someone who can process the thoughts and concerns of the civilian population. I'd love to nominate myself, however I feel as though it should be a majority decision. What the Civ Rep can do is voice the concerns of the rebels (obviously) and also the civilians that go day to day and want to make money and enjoy the server. LTs/CPT's already have pull with additions to cop changes every patch. I feel as though we only see civilian changes when its voiced very loudly and multiple times. I understand all devs/admins are doing this as a volunteer and I don't expect anyone to put the game before life, however I just want to play again with my boys, and enjoy actually playing.
    Before I post some suggestions below I'd love to hear whether or not this would be something the developers would consider. It doesn't have to be an unbiased candidate, all the civ rep is doing is making suggestions. Nothing more.
    Suggestions are as follows more will be added:
    Make cars not paper, cars being stronger promotes more drug running, vehicle use around the map and overall accessibility to parts of the map previously only used by air. This has been said dozens of times, make money go into the gang bank passively it promotes fighting and overall control of the map. Add a second rebel, somewhere around arms or donor town, we all hate going to gear only to have it camped. Yes there are other rebels and I do go them however a 4th wouldn't be an awful thing. Increase storage size of crates, orcas and even hellcats so people can do helicopter runs to make money. Add tempest device, would entice people to use big vehicles to complete the runs faster. As @Bunni said, a war point system would be phenomenal, all we have now are these end of season rewards which are nice, but a lot of us want that instant gratification. War point clothing store, war point vehicle shop (reduced prices on ifrits/50's/orcas with a certain amount of points). Increase the payout of legal items as well, especially diamonds and iron, they're hard to do, they get robbed often and the payout is so little. Perhaps give an incentive to get new players to leave kavala, or have a "To Do List" in Kavala square, detailing how to make money and the "end game goal". Reduce gun prices overall by 10-15% (including pistols, sdars etc, rook price atm is 1500....thats 15k old school money. The OLD rook was $1,500). Remove literally all of the shit at the prison, none of that is necessary, old prison was best. Remove the rotating drug thing, or at least make them somewhat close to the old positions. The ones current are too far away (mainly meth). Add payout for cops for lethaling/sending people to jail that way cops are more reluctant to keep coming back to fight. As I think of more I'll add them, if you have any feel free to comment them below and if they seem good for the community then I'll add them in.
