  1. I have already begun incorporating this into my briefings at server restarts and will continue to do so until such time that a policy update or game update comes along to more properly address the issue. Granted, due to my work schedule and being called in on my days off, I have not gotten to do a large number of briefings for a large number of officers it is still a start. I would personally encourage any and all APD Sergeants to incorporate this into their briefings after restart (Which should be occurring right now anyways in my opinion, since we've had recent policy updates). I'm in no way opposed to a temporary policy update to make this more well enforced, if it is decided by the Captains/Admin Team/Community or whoever else would be involved that it is necessary until an in game update can be made. But until that time, I think briefing officers on this at restarts is a fine starting point.

  2. The virtual items alone that are shown (Which isn't everything) total up to around $3 million (A rough guess because I can't be bother to factor for cartels, taxes, etc.). That doesn't even account for how much could be made if all the unprocessed shit got processed and sold (The uranium alone would fetch over $700,000) nor does it account for any of the firearms in the physical inventory. I know what I'm doing for money from now on.

  3. I think six rebel outposts is plenty enough already. There doesn't need to be another added just because it's closer to a cartel cap or because people are camping any given base. Adding another base doesn't fix campers anyways, if one base is getting camped, just go to another one. You can pull a helicopter at Therisa and fly to any base you want anyways.

The answer is already in game. It just takes a talent and 15k

And there can't be a Lieutenant+ online at all, if it is flash bangs you're talking about. If a lieutenant+ is online but doesn't want to come, then you are sol. I don't particularly care for or against giving other ranks besides LT+ the ability to open houses. I don't much care for being locked in houses either, but I don't tend to get kidnapped super often, and when I do, I'm usually not stuck in a house the whole time, so I could really take it or leave it. But for those that do care, just a point I thought I'd bring up.

  5. I'm not sure that they'd ever bring back the second server. But if they did, I'd be all for it being a new database with a fresh start for everyone. I like playing with all I have now, but having a second server with an essentially second life would be pretty fun to play from time to time.

Not sure how the warrants work, but maybe the officers could use prestige to buy more abilities like bounty hunters, such as more accurate area tracking and less cooldown on tracking?

This is exactly what we buy with prestige for warrants. When we pull a  warrant, it gives us a circle that they are in (Like on bounty hunter, except we can only track 1). We can use prestige to get talents to make the circle smaller (Starting at 1km and going down to i think 200m at the end of the talent tree) And we can use prestige to get talents to let us update more often (Down to 2 min updates).

  7. I don't think this is about the Captains giving anyone the middle finger, and I don't think they're trying to flex any special powers. The way I see it, they wanted to add a backup plan the APD can use during feds that are heavily stacked against us. I know someone asked why not just give the power to SGT+ at their discretion, and frankly, I think that would have gone over far worse. Historically, people have not been a fan of SGTs and LTs getting additional powers against civs, and they certainly wouldn't like a power like combat seizing gold bars to be able to be used by ranks that are almost always on, and are arguably more likely to use it.

It's always the retired captains which just say fuck it to the rules as they only come and play to fuck around since they couldn't care.

Policy updates means nothing Captains will do whatever they want anyways.

I agree completely that retired captains tend to be the source of issues that arise the CPT based policies. However, I don't think this applies to all retired captains, and even with retired captains included, there is still only ever one to two people online that could possibly make use of this policy. I don't think that one or two cops with the power to combat seize gold from vehicles, only after they've left the fed will be that common or that big of an issue. But, that's just the opinion of a humble career cop.

    @Mason @Leady You're ok with this?

Dawg, there's only ever like 2 Captains on at a time, if any. I promise it won't be that big of a deal. Besides, if I'm not mistaken, this was more of a backup plan the APD can use (again, only when a Captain is on) during a fed that's heavily stacked against us. I don't think giving that power to 2 people will make that big of a difference.

  9. Few Questions:

    I. Why would only CPL+ patrol this? It sounds like any other drug field. The only reason uranium has that rule is because Constables and Cadets don't have access to the proper equipment to patrol it safely.

II. Why would tobacco be illegal? I get the whole 'Cuban Embargo' thing, but this is Altis, so why not just make it a legal money making method? I'd rather have new legal ways to make money than illegal.

III. Why an $8,500 bounty? That would make it the 3rd highest priced charge for possession behind Meth, Uranium, and Dog/Turtle Meat. There's no reason why tobacco, if it were illegal (Which again sounds ridiculous) should give a bounty higher than marijuana, heroin, PCP, cocaine, liquor, explosives, and illegal firearms. If anything, it should be one of the smallest if at all.

IV. Why on a secluded island requiring a boat? It doesn't make much sense in my eyes to make it something that needs to be done in a boat. Just put it up in the north west and give people a reason to go there for a change besides liquor.

    V. If its going to be in a boat from the island east of Therisa, why process in Stavros? Who would want to take a boat that far for a small time paycheck?

VI. 300 space in the boats? I would literally never do tobacco with that much space. I would just go do sea turtles if I could hold that much. It pays way better, and has historically (For me at least) been a safe and profitable source of income even with just 200 storage.

That's all for now, but I'm sure I could take time to nitpick more but I can't be bothered atm.

Duration of Absence: March 1st - April 30th

    Month(s) of Absence: ~2

Reason: I have just started working for my local sheriff's office in their jail, and will be busy with training until April 18th, with the following week being dedicated to starting on my new more permanent shift assignment. Additionally, I have just moved houses once in the past few weeks and will likely be moving again on the 1st of April, and will likely not have internet the first week or two.

  11. Honestly I don't mind most of these suggestions. Although I may not fully agree with all of them, for the most part I don't see issues with them. The only few I personally don't wanna see is:
    1) 6.5 Mini-Gun Boats: There's really no reason for these since most people don't use boats as it is

    2) Evidence Lockup at HQ: If the evidence lock-up was at an HQ, that would make it unsafe for cops to spawn there in response. And, minus Athira and Air HQ, most HQs are not very close by. Also, as mentioned earlier, HQs are meant to be for cops what rebel bases are for rebels. A safe place to hold and defend, which cops kinda need. Especially since, other than the Evidence Lockup as it is now, HQs are one of the only places cops get to defend rather than attack.

    3) Police Stripping Only In Red Zones: Cops only disarm people that have been an active threat with a weapon, especially an illegal one to my knowledge. I see no reason why we should restrict the cops ability to disarm a person who was an active threat other than to allow them to get revived and continue killing quicker. Which, is kinda the whole reason we can disarm.

But again, overall, I either agree with, or at the least, wouldn't mind most of the suggestions you made. Nice to see a suggestion post that for once, isn't just a back and forth between cops and rebels.

also who the fuck cares if they can go through a tiny hole that maybe a quad can fit through  they still have a hemmit to bring out slow boy

Probably no one tbh. Also, the Ifrit fit through just fine, as well as the Quilin behind it, so I don't think quads are our biggest owrry.

i really hope u guys didnt load lethals in the first 5 seconds

None of the 9+ cops at this lockup knew of it. They're the ones who told me to make this suggestion, I just agreed with them. Though frankly, it's not that big of an issue, just a suggestion. As for lethals, if it makes you feel any better, they were authorized long before the lockup even started. Not just the first 5 seconds :D
