    Hey everyone! I've come to realize back a handful of years ago, and even recently that most cops that attend trainings really enjoy "new" things that aren't typically seen or offered in your usual trainings. Because of this, I've taken it upon myself to create a Hub of sorts that'll act as a nice area for a multitude of various trainings to be conducted. Over time, this area will likely increase in size with more zones and courses to offer that'll lend a hand in making trainings more than just a simple APD training. 

    My goal with this idea is to help bring a higher level of fun to APD activities and make trainings feel more lively and different than what you all have been experiencing over the past 5+ years. Down the line, we'll likely be also adding teleport/spawn points to these zones to allow cops to freely log in and test out their skills with fellow cops when they choose to do so. 

    1) This Hub will likely be implemented into the Training Server within the next month or so
    2) There will be occasional updates, adding more zones, and possibly changing up current ones
    3) Suggestions for certain ideas/zones are always welcome and will 100% be considered

    EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY
     
    Two Minute Procedure:
    Officers will now have the ability to send a suspect to jail at any location when the two minute server restart mark hits.
    Any suspect in custody within two minutes to server restart must be given their ticket. If they refuse to pay the ticket or the one minute restart notification appears, they must be sent to jail.
    *Note* Higher up requests are not granted during this time. Officers are still expected to inform a higherup they had a request, but it does not stop processing.
     
    Cadet Tethering:
    Cadets must put the name of their Constable in parentheses after their name. This is to prevent confusion about who a cadet is patrolling with.
    Ex. 
     
    Constable Playtime Requirement:
    Constables must play at least 10 hours in any rolling 90 day time period. Any Constable found to have not done so will be subject to removal from the APD.
     
    Oysters:
    As oysters are now legal, Possession of Oysters and Possession of Fried Oysters have been removed.
     
    For clarifications purposes the two following charges have been renamed:
    Possession of Concentrated Cannabis is now called Possession of Golden Wax
    Possession of Marijuana is now Possession of Reggie Weed

    Greetings,

    This coming weekend (Oct. 22nd - Oct. 24th), the APD training team will be hosting a Leadership Academy for officers between the ranks of Constable and Sergeant. This academy will consist of multiple days of training, covering a number of topics relating to leadership in the APD. Our aim in this is to provide officers who wish to attend the chance to show initiative towards the APD by demonstrating that they have the drive and willingness to improve themselves, and ideally showing themselves as more capable candidates for promotion. That said, with this being the first academy hosted since the recent revamping of the APD Training Team, we will be limiting attendance for this academy to a maximum of 15 officers, so only the first 15 to sign up will be able to attend. Officers of the rank LT+ are free to attend without signing up and without taking a slot, since this is intended for lower ranking officers to get a chance to better themselves, and work towards achieving a higher rank down the road. Currently, the schedule for the academy dates and times is as follows:

    - Day I: 10/22/21 | 2200 EST
    - Day II: 10/23/21 | 2200 EST
    - Day III: 10/24/21 | 2200 EST

    If you wish to apply to attend this academy, you must be a Constable, Corporal, or Sergeant. Officers will receive credit for each day of training received marked on their application, and each day will count as one of the trainings needed to apply for Corporal. However, officers will only receive full credit for completing the Leadership Academy if they successfully attend all three days of training. We look forward to seeing those of you who attend!

    Illegal Items and Weapons
    The IR Laser is no longer considered police equipment and may be purchased by civilians and CPL+.
    The long barrel shotgun is now an illegal weapon. 
    One Minute Procedure
    Officers will now have the ability to send a suspect to jail at any location when the two minute server restart mark hits. 
    Any suspect in custody within one minute server restart must be giving a chance to pay their ticket. If you are inside or outside of an HQ if they refuse the ticket, send them to jail. 
    Bounty Hunters
    Officers may seize a bounty hunter license if:
    You witness them commit a crime worth $5,000 or more (that they do not have role-play justification for). They have a charge of "bounty hunter execution". You should only fully Revoke a bounty hunter license if the bounty hunter has kidnapped an officer or civilian who is not their bounty. Revoking a bounty hunter license for a server restart will be limited to Corporal+ and it is expected that you use your best judgement. Abuse of this function will result in disciplinary action. 
    Vehicle Seizing (Lieutenant+)
    Lieutenant+ may repair illegal vehicles and drive them to the closest HQ for seizing. 
    Only LT+ only may drive the illegal vehicle. In order to drive the vehicle all occupants must be in custody or lethaled.  You may not use the vehicle for armor on armor attacks.  You may only defend yourself if you are disabled or flipped.  Federal Gold bar Seizing
    During federal reserve robberies Captains may now search and seize vehicles involved in the robbery regardless of combat occurring. This only applies to vehicles that have entered than left the federal reserve.

    Hello everyone,
     
    I have been selected to become a Community Manager. My role is to be an active part of the community both in game and on the forums. I have been here for roughly 5 years with about 7,300 hours in Arma which is 95 percent on Asylum. The rest on KOTH and the campaign. For those of you who do not know me I am one of the best helicopter pilots on the server. I would consider myself a career rebel as I have only ever made it to CPL on the APD. I do try and balance it out as much as I can but there is something about trolling cops that puts a smile on my face. I am not that great at cartels or shooting in general but I love to mess around and have fun.  I have only ever been in 1 gang  throughout my time on Asylum which is Drunk Squad. If you have any questions please feel free to hit up my discord or find me in teamspeak. PM me about anything. If you want to chat or just get to know me my door is always open. I am here for you guys when you need me.

    Federal Reserve
    Any civilian or vehicle seen inside the federal reserve can be searched.  Demo charges will now fall under possession of explosives.  If the APD gains control over a vehicle involved in the robbery for three minutes the vehicle may be searched and seized. Control is defined as no rebel fighters in the immediate area of the vehicle. At 5 minutes to restart officers may search and seize vehicles involved once control of the vehicle is gained. If there are any questions or concerns, feel free to contact a Captain.

    The situation being referenced was not actually an LT who said it. It was DarkKnight who did it. As I understand it, he did it because all of your partners in crime had been captured at that point. As Chow already said, Captains are not required to follow the guidebook, but are generally expected to have a reason for why they are not doing so. If you want to discuss this more, I would recommend speaking with Dark directly.

    Hey all,

    At ~8AM-ish (Central Time) on the 13th I will be having the servers offline for roughly 5 minutes while I apply an update to the database to give everyone their old honor and honor talents back that they had in V1. Due to the suspension that occurs on the database it'd affect in-game gameplay if done while the server was online. Also, anyone who was online at the time would miss out on the update that would occur. So it's best to have the game server offline. 

    Should only be down for about 5 minutes...

    I understand that we had a little bit of regression in progress regarding new content/old content being re-added interfering with performance. However, in my opinion that regression of progress will hopefully allow our Dev team to find exactly what caused that issue in the first place. In turn, it is far more likely that the same mistake won't be made again. This is the biggest thing, when we had our old developers pre-ownership change, there was effectively no chance of us getting to see good performance because they didn't/couldn't invest the time in figuring out where those issues were hiding. So in the long run it might be better that this mistake was made so that the chances of the mistake being repeated are far lower.

    Corporal playtime requirement
    The APD staff team have decided to move to a 10-hour playtime requirement for Corporal.
    No activity warnings will be given.
    Applicant playtime requirements
    There will now be a 20-hour civilian playtime requirement to apply to the APD (Medic playtime will not count).
    To apply to the APD, you must meet the following requirements:
    Able to use voice communication (TeamSpeak 3). Able to speak fluent English. Must have at least 12 talent points – Screenshot will be required. Must have at least 20 hours played on the server. Must be 16 years or older. Must not be currently blacklisted from the APD. Must not have any active bans on Asylum. Keep in mind that playtime requirements may change at any time.

    A new Probable Cause section has been added to the guidebook. Eventually, the Probable Cause section in Patrolling will be moved to this new page.
