not a sgt+ but if its possible to have a warning message before a kick that would be better

I don’t disagree. Not sure if we can detect the key bindings and setting of the drone waypoints and such. We can look in to it and see what can be done this be kicking for it was pre my time as dev. Know it was a thing even with paratus.

Are the BEFilters the reason SGT+ get kicked while using drones?I wish you would fix the script restictions on drones. Higher ups hardly use them because of the random kicks.

Mmm no believe it was due to another issue. Should be fixed next update. If you get kicked after that though we could look into. However I believe it was intended to kick if waypoints were set. That it was wanted to require you to operate it not set it and forget it.

Tbh. I thought dev's only focused on developing and not taking care of reports.

Um, we don't really do much tickets per say. We do issue a lot of bans however, which sometimes require a lot of work to fix things scripters do, etc.

However, for support tickets, in the last 30 days:
    Azeh: 5
    Jesse: 24
    Henry: 79

All time since we got the support ticket system:
    Azeh: 97
    Jesse: 189
    Henry: 444

Azeh has put in roughly 80-100 bans
Henry has put in roughly 500 bans
    I've done roughly 80-100 bans

However, not only do we do this but also Azeh and I have spent a considerable amount of time reworking our BEfilters to catch cheaters which has been proving effective as our automated bans have increased decently and we have some better detection of certain cheats. I've also spent time coding a discord bot for APD/AFD to eliminate work required by our admins to assign permissions and such for the forums. Now APD/AFD can just use the bot to give/remove forum/in-game perms. Where before they needed admin help for a decent amount of that stuff.

  4. Hey all,

I know it's been a bit since we've had an update get released. We do need to still get the January rewards out to you guys. For those of you who are unaware these are the January rewards we have yet to release:

    Quote

    January 2020 Rewards:

    SWAT
    • Will be similar to how it was in the past. Various suggestions from the forums will be used to design this system
    Vehicle Customization
    • Various options to customize the vehicle will be available. Further information to follow.
    Additional titles for achievements.

Just to give insight on the progress, SWAT is essentially done, just needs a run through, due to how many players are required and existing exploit prevention and such, I want to make sure we utilize the correct player counts to test it. Which means getting a group of us to do it at once basically. The titles are also essentially done. We just need to get the titles to show above the players head. Which is basically a line of code or two, we've been debating placement and how to show them for the best aesthetic appeasement. Vehicle customization does still need some work though, as it was essentially the most labor intensive. This is also why we made our February goals lighter essentially. Which some of that is already done as well. Henry just wrapped up the Tractor Farming.

I just wanted to share this with you guys as I know we've been a bit behind this month. I've personally been quite busy with finding a new place to call home with my girlfriend. We did a ton of house/condo/duplex/apartment searching and finally just this Wednesday signed a lease for a place. I've also had some job related interviews and opportunities I've been working towards that have taken away time. I've also had 3 different people around me all have some sort of vehicle trouble, some more extensive than others... As far as our other developers, I do know one of them may be a bit "burnt" out if you will. As this game does take a toll on us to work on and we all have lives and stuff to do as well. We've also had a decent amount of time getting spent on some admin related duties if you will. Dealing with patching up exploits and determining where exploited money and such went.

Long story short, we've been busy. The new content for the goals will probably be all released in a giant lump I would say ideally the end of next week or the following week.

TL;DR: We have lives and have been busy. We are still working on stuff just at a slower rate of pace due to life stuff and being a tad burnt out with coding. The content update(s) should happen next week or the week after.

    Thank you for your understanding,
    Jesse

been a thing for nearly 3 years do u even play the game

No I don’t actually. Things change though and it’s not like we have a list from people previously of issues that went unfixed. If people report stuff we can look in to it and fix it. If we spent all day playing the game and such we wouldn’t get anything done developing wise. Plus for developers when people know you play they tend to bother you about development things and make the game unenjoyable  to play.  We completely remade the mission. However “scroll wheel bug” is not very easy to diagnose. Having a report of when it happens and what it does etc, would help greatly.

  6. We are still running profiling and some performance checking addons to check the performance of the server. This may cause issues at some points, probably not.

This update was put out mainly to fix bugs/issues that have been discovered. We will add community goals in soon.

    Added:

    • New treasure maps obtainable from mining and excavating - http://gaming-asylumwiki.com/wiki/Treasure_Guide
    • Donor ranks 8/9/10 (will automatically adjust based on your donation amount)
    • Previously mentioned donor rewards for donor 8/9/10
    • Subscriber Retro Orca and Hatchback textures
    • Additional items to market screen on phone
    • Impound option for searched vehicles with illegal items is now available if it's not an illegal vehicle
    • 9mm Suppressor to APD weapon shop
    • Black Tac Vest to Rebel Outpost
    • Some more anti-cheat detection & cheat prevention(hopefully)

    Changed/Tweaked:

    • Limited simultaneous federal events
    • Escape menu buttons when options expanded
    • Bank note seizing will yield less money

    Fixed:

    • Sling loading vehicles with gold bars and oil can no longer be done
      • Vehicles containing gold bars will have the mass increased causing the vehicle to be heavier per each gold bar inside.
    • Bugs associated with dead bodies
    • Issues with some player stats not updating correctly
    • Blank space in gang war menu
    • Undercover vehicle checks
    • Various exploits
    • Can no longer wiretransfer while dead
    • APD drone connectivity
    • Air drops not appearing

Why you gonna do my boy @Gen. Henry Arnold he tried his best using Paint.

Also i've made a few skins which I know they're not amazing (Still learning) but some people liked some of them.

Not saying people don't offer help and such. However, you need to keep in mind we can't just non-stop add more and more skins without taking out others and such. Otherwise we'd have a 80mb mission file that no one would want to download a bunch.

Ideally it'd be nice to have our current shitty skins (ones in loot crates and such) that are low quality or plain and bland to be "remastered".

    Eh ur right

At the same time imo, Mitch was very generous in letting everyone keep what they've donated towards as far as donation level is considered. If I was him starting at literally $0 with only a month of server rent paid for, I would've restructured the whole thing and wiped all donation levels. Since those donor levels have literally consisted through 3 owners now and majority of people only have donated to get things like what use to monetized such as debit cards, sports hatchbacks, chrome vehicles which can no longer be monetized. Since I've been with Asylum in a staff/development capacity there have been veryyyy few donations come in for donation levels. Majority of the support/income comes from key purchases really and now the community goals. Key purchases also dwindle the longer that crates are active. We're also pretty locked in to keeping the crates around as some people have invested a lot in to those.

Fact: There are less than 400 people who for the entire course of donator levels have donated past rank 6. I would go as far to say that most of the people who are 1-6 donated a long time ago as well when Paratus was still owner..

Fact: 26,326 non-donators have played since V2 launched.
Fact: 3,358 donators (over the entire life of Asylum) have played since V2 launched (This can be rank 1-10).
So only 12% of people have just hoped on even for just 1 minute since V2 are donors.

Trust me I don't disagree with you.. I feel a lot of textures we have available are pretty mid to low tier in terms of creativity/design. However, we're limited to talent like I said. It's also hard to find people who want to invest time making things at basically no benefit to them, rather than just playing the game with their friends. Trust me I know.

I’ve played Arma 3 for 6 years, 1000’s of hours put into this game, all for $60.

And some bitches are gonna give $550 for some shitty skins and tags that nobody gives a fuck about.

This is some interesting shit right now

i aint hatin on the owners, just wild that some people actually gonna pay for this shit

I mean the servers/licenses/applications don't run for free and we're limited to the talent we have. No one here is exactly a prime texture designer. We're also restricted to what content we can monetize. At the end of the day it's about keeping the servers going... If you want to contribute better skins then have it. However, remember those "bitches" are the people who are allowing you to continue playing on this server and probably other servers as well. No one is just going to shell out a few hundred a month so that a bunch of toxic and shitty teens can have a server to play on...

What's the auth code viewer for? Is there an API endpoint for validating the code/getting info for a specific auth code?

It's a verification code that we as staff can use to verify you are the person you say you are. So people can't go off giving their friends a link to applications and such to try and get permissions to stuff they shouldn't.
