  1. This is a response regarding being kidnapped as an officer.

    20 hours ago, DarkKnight said:

Server rule states you must wait 10 minutes before logging. You may do the same on cop as long as you give effort in your rp. If someone throws you into a locked house and leaves then log after 10 minutes. If the person who kidnapped you is rping you must rp back. Officers that go afk or don't say anything and set a 10 minute timer to log will have action taken against them. If you are kidnapped and you rp during the first 10 minutes it is your call if you want to stay longer. All we want to see is effort.

Since this question has been asked many times, I thought I would put it here in a hope it will answer this question for someone in the future!

  2. Going back to what the OP was about....

    -1 for invisible backpacks

It is part of cop life figuring out what you are going to carry and what you are going to leave behind. A suggestion has already moved up to the owners requesting all officer get the IR laser option. This will increase your ammo capacity as you would no longer need to worry about downing vs lethal mags.

The fact that rebels can carry so much ammo and cops can not, is balanced. Rebels are defending a location while cops push. Generally speaking officers die at a much higher frequency than rebels. When you respawn at HQ, refill mags or buy new ones. It does not take more than 10 seconds and you are back in the fight fully armed. Rebels can not get back in the fight nearly as fast or as well armed as cops can.

    This is stupid.

The actual issue causing this is that after every single restart every single car despawns no policy is needed a fix to the server is needed.

Even beyond that I don't see your issue with people just trying to have FUN in the last few minutes of a server restart.

Actually, every car despawning after a restart is intentional. Every restart is a hard restart (cars go back to garages). On a soft restart, cars do not go back to garages. We switched over to hard restarts only a while back in an attempt to fix the lag.

    • Master combat medic
      • I don't know about having perks be rank-restricted in their effects
        • If the perk had some use for those less than sgt+ but just had bonus effects for sgt+ it would be much more useful

Master combat medic is the most powerful perk in the entire prestige tree. If it was not rank restricted it would simply be broken. The power to sit in cover and infinitely revive people is insane. I don't really know how you could give this perk out partially. It is just so powerful. As is, the fact that generally there will not be four Sergeants and/or Lieutenants on medic is probably the only reason it isn't completely broken.

    • Presitige grinding: When I got corporal, I though it would take forever to earn prestige. However, grinding out time on cop, I realize it is actually fairly balanced for the time you put into it. It obviously is quicked to get than, say, bounty hunter honor, but prestige perks are more expensive and there are a lot more of them

I agree, it really is balanced how obtaining and using prestige works!

Does the post from 2017 regarding tents being treated like vehicles for search/seizure still apply?  We had some guys in coke field with tents full of coke out in the open today.  We went ahead and treated them like vehicles on the PC after asking around a bit. I figured it is best to ask for current clarification going forward/can it actually get added to the guidebook so others don't have the same question.

    Yes it is

I see the upper hand in knowing people are doing drug runs.  However, rebels can already go and stop all drug runs anyways.  There is a little trick by checking your phone and if drug cartel goes up a little bit before it gets depoed into gang account that means someone is doing some type of drug.  By seeing how much that goes up by hints at what it is.  Now, with the amount of infamy needed to get this I feel it is a rewarding grind that keeps people playing and having fun which is the point to having good infamy talents.

I think you misunderstand me. I can know 100% of the time every single time someone enters the areas. If I was to sit on my drone, no one would ever be able to collect so much as a jeep of ephedra before getting busted. There is no questioning the market, oh did someone have some stored or are they doing a run, are they going to do another? I know 100% they are there right now.

If you have a group of 6+ rebels you would be able to screw over every single civ running drugs. All you have to do is wait till they are at processor, go in, kill them and take their stuff. You would be able to do this to every single person running drugs in Pyrgos. There is no way to counter, you can't even hide if they lock the camera on to you.

Yes, you can argue that skill comes in to being able to kill people but having an eye in the sky that you can have displayed on the side of your screen is really powerful.

IF drones where ever to be given to rebels, I feel strongly that at the very least terminals would have to be illegal and seized by officers anytime someone is caught with one.

Mind explaining the problems with the system and I could try and help the solution

I can not speak for Mitch but I can tell you why I don't think this would be a good idea.

    • With one drone I can watch all Pyrgos side drug fields. If I so desired I could stop anyone from ever running a single drug on that side for the entire restart. Now think about rebels having the ability to stop all drug runs whenever they feel like it.
    • You say they can be shot down with a single pistol shot and you are correct. However, I have never had a drone shot down that was not under 75m or taking off. I generally keep my drone "low" at about 200m. With a mediocre computer I can have my drone high enough people will never notice it unless they know exactly where it is, and even then it can be hard (speaking from experience shooting down bugged drones). You could always safely launch a drone by being in a secluded area or having gang mates to protect it.
    • While there are no hard rules on drones for sgt+ there are actually soft rules we are expected to abide by. Things like not camping drug areas and using them to harass civilians. Rules like this would be rather hard to enforce on rebels.

Personally, I don't use a drone really unless it at a Bank, Prison or Fed. I will very rarely use them in a chase if it happens to be nearby, we have no air unit and we lose the suspect. This is because they really are extremely powerful tools.

Not sure if this is the place to ask, but here it is anyway.

Regarding the new ability to remove individual charges, Would it be allowed to remove the charges that are reasonably explained to help keep track of what the ticket price could end up being? I just feel I'd have an easier time remembering how much I'm taking off already if the explanation is good enough.

As of now, I have not heard an official word form any of the Captains. I believe it is more to be used in cases where you have improperly or accidentally charged someone. I would avoid using it to figure out someone's bounty simply because you don't want to put yourself in a situation where it is misconstrued. On a side but related note, using this system to reduce a known associate or gang members bounty would fall under corruption.

The charge Prison Conspiring. This charge is only straight to jail after a prison break that just happened/ended (of course at discretion) Correct?
I have heard people say that it can't still be straight to jail like way down the road (later on).

    SAByzcr.png

It is those who are participating in the prison break. The only way to earn this charge is by being in the vicinity of the prison while the alarm is active. If you catch someone later on who has this charge it is possible they got the charge but were not participating in the break. They could have been there chasing a bounty or simply just been released from prison (not entirely sure this gives you the charge anymore but...). Because of this, you should, at your discretion, only send a suspect straight to jail right after a prison break.

    can i blindfold civs

As blindfolds are unavailable for purchase as an officer they would be considered a civilian item. As such, an undercover officer could use them to maintain their cover, however, they are NEVER to be used to abuse a civilian or violate their rights.
