If you guys can optimize the servers and bring some new content I think there's a good chance that Asylum gets its population back.  Perfect timing toowith Christmas break

Realistically though that timeline to deliver content & optimizations will be quite hard to meet. As the Asylum mission is very different. I haven't seen server side files of Asylum for a few years. Lots of changes.

Cartel benefits are different here though. On Olympus they cap to 5% and then sell a hemmit of moonshine. Over here you lose a percentage while processing if you dont own the cartel so you would want to cap to 100% before you started your drug run.

I understand. I'm just stating how I've always felt cartels should be to encourage rewards for those who want to barely cap and those who want to full cap. While incentivizing fighting since some would cap them higher, etc. Just because that's how it is currently doesn't mean that is how it has to stay.

If you cap to 1% and go run drugs you risk losing the benefits as soon as someone walks onto cap. Its a risk you can take and works fine on Olympus.

I would personally be a fan of you can cap anywhere between 1% and 100%, the higher the percentage though the more benefits you get from it. To encourage people to cap them all the way. I always hated when people on Olympus would just cap to 1% or 10% and leave...

@BaDaBiNg_10-8 @Jesse You guys know a lot about how olympus CIV Rep works, how do you feel about it on here?

It's getting changed on Olympus AFAIK. I believe it'll be different soon. I was a fan of it (Obviously because I helped make it with Dili). Lot's of good ideas came from it. Only problem was, is that some nobodies sat in the position doing fuckall. However, at the same time if we kicked them from the position, the community may see it as a "staff ran" position sorta thing. Where we wanted it to be by the community and for the community...

So I imagine that is Client side unless it somehow causes issues with the players are connected to the servers and the database themselves. I don't have experience in this so it's really just me being curious.

Well... ask yourself this: Why the server would need scroll wheel actions?

You can probably answer your question yourself then.

Imo what already has a custom action control does not need to be tied to the windows key. However their are easily 10+ scroll wheel things that could be changed to windows key. When you get down to it, it depends on what it is you are looking at specifically. For instance, if you ask me there is no need for picking up Y to be tied to the windows key since that is already able to be done through a custom action. Though for picking gathering, robbing, atm access maybe it would be better. The best thing they could do in this scenario is give the player control of it client side, by that I mean give the player the ability to choose if they want to use windows key or the traditional scroll wheel functions that Asylum has been using. Either way, unless this is a huge hindrance as it stands currently I doubt it will be looked at for sometime.

There's some poor choices on how addActions are currently done. Currently the player runs them all evaluating them. They should be attached to the object the addaction is needed on. This requires less computation engine wise.

Yeah this guy was mad at Poseidon for helping asylum now he's a dev.

Bit different when you're the owner of a server for a long time and decide to abandon the community you made, etc after paying for your college, etc... I merely was a developer at Olympus, who barely played Olympus. I have maybe 450 hours on Olympus. On Asylum I have probably over 1,000 hours.  Asylum was my first server to play on for a long time and offered to help before going to Olympus. Olympus however, was a very good community/family that I enjoyed. A lot of people at Olympus are still my family, I met a lot of cool people, we still talk daily some of us, etc. I planned on coming back to Olympus potentially after my 3 credit school course was over on December 19th. Also, when finding out Kurt was going to leave due to the extra desk duties and such that he obtained, I offered to take over Olympus and give Peter a payout royalty. However, that offer wasn't accepted. I do not see eye to eye very well with decisions Peter is making at Olympus currently. I was approached to help out here, so I accepted.

Paratus got in way over his head. Sometimes programmers are the worst production managers and this is clearly evident in the way he ran Asylum and his failed game. He should have worked on pvp all this time and focused on the town square BS at the end. Maybe today we all would have been excited to buy the game and start shooting each other--instead all I have to look forward to is seeing what color dress @Azeh will be wearing in the town square tonight.

PS Did Motown ever do anything? He seemed like a leech to me.

Couldn't agree more... Wasted tons of time on making it so you can have hundreds of wall paper selections... That you could paint paintings. Playing chess, sing Karoke, etc. No one cares about that shit. No one cares to read a fucking newspaper. Like what a waste of development time, etc. Especially on a concept at best... Lots of promises too that are being made about being able to do this or that, yet they don't even have the basics down.

Just a FYI, they're bankrupt. Motown doesn't work for them anymore (Got "let go"), 80% of the development team left or where fired and the "Town Square" is their last ditch attempt to "save" the game. Don't get your hopes up.

Hmmm... explains the discontinue. Not sure who the man keeps referencing as "we"? Must have a mouse in his pocket.

The way I see it, that was the estimation for the entire game's beta, not just the Town Square module... Which makes it even worse.

This is on Identity's steam page which is only around 1 month old:
"With our current pace, we estimate that the SWAT module will be complete in late 2019, the racing module in 2020 and the feature-complete Identity beta will begin in 2021. These are not to be taken as release dates but as our current best estimates.”

If they even get enough money to keep going on production. lmao.

We're not really sure when we're going to release. We've had all month since we took forever, we've extended the dates out several times... Likely within office hours, possibly not. Idk, soon? Maybe not even 2mor, maybe the office will catch fire.

Buy it on Steam, play it for 1 hour and 50 minutes and get a refund. Easy. Not like the Town Square has content worth more time than that anyway.

Or just don't support it at all :D
