    Because when the server gets laggy or if someone has a patato PC they tend to blow up in the garage when created clientside. Plus, Asylum has always been this way IIRC. The goal is to get people to be pulling larger trucks by truck shops and public garages to increase run risk. I asked about this when I was working on V2 conversions. I was told to leave as is.

    I’ve basically got it done. Currently I’m on vacation 4hrs from home and I have to help my ma move and do a rummage. After that or sometime during I plan to update. So either next week or the last week area I’m tentatively thinking.

    @Jesse Just out of curiousity how much time would someone with atleast half a brain need to get skilled enough for the SQF developer position?

    Is it years of experience or a good understanding of the basics of sqf with some experience? 

    I would say the biggest thing is being committed to learn. For someone who has at least some idea of how core logical operators and evaluations work that you’d be fine at that point. We can always take bug fixers. So like maybe a month or two? Depends how much time you spend learning and if you’re willing to learn. Everyone’s different. I had no clue how to do it or really coding in general when I started.

    Basically. I mean we can work out some sort of in-game payments or something, I've offered things to developers in the past, most however don't really play much anymore once developing that stuff in-game is usually kinda pointless.. However, that's what we're really limited to.

    So currently the development team is looking for some additional help. We are in need of people for various specialized positions.

    Positions Available:

    • Graphics Designer - 1 or 2 Position(s) available at this time
    • SQF Developer - 1 or 2 Position(s) available at this time

    Description of Positions

    • Graphics Designer:
      • The role of the graphic designer is to support the other positions (web/content/map) by creating graphics not limited to but mainly textures/icons/images. These graphics could be displayed on the website, in-game on billboards, or used on new textures for vehicles. The content created is to be of quality and should show that thought and effort was put in to the work.
    • Map Designer:
      • The role of the map designer is to support the on-going in-game development of the content developers and creating new map areas or modifying requested portions of the map from either the developers or from upper server management. You could be creating totally new areas on the map for a new server event, new runs, or new objectives. You could also just be making slight adjustments to object orientations and helping perfect object placement on the map and such.
    • SQF Developer:
      • Developers are going to be primarily working on new in-game content, bug fixes, exploit resolutions, etc. This role is relatively self explanatory I feel...
    • Web Developer:
      • The role of the web developer will be to create or modify existing web applications and features. This could include modification of forum configurations, content, and flow. This will also involve the creating, updating, and maintaining of various systems such as admin control panels for in-game content management systems.

    Position Requirements:

    • ALL POSITIONS:
      • Must be at least 18 years old at time of applying.
      • Must have work examples or proof of knowledge for the position you are applying for.
      • Must have the ability to required software/programs to do the role.
      • Must not be completely brain-dead and have the ability to comprehend given tasks and ask semi-intelligent questions if help is required with your task.
        • If I can find the answer on Google in 5 seconds... it's a stupid question
      • Ability to use TeamSpeak as primary method of communication and Discord as a secondary.
      • Ability to tolerate my mood swings and not take the mean things I say occasionally to heart.
      • Ability to self improve based off of criticism.

     

    • Graphics Designer:
      • Access to Photoshop or another content creation tool.
      • Working knowledge of TexView 2 (to convert images to .paa for A3).
    • Map Designer:
      • Knowledge of how to use the Arma 3 Map Editor.
    • SQF Developer:
      • Adequate knowledge of SQF.
      • At least some knowledge of version control systems such as git.
      • Can at least make it by in the Arma 3 Map Editor.
      • Thick skin.
    • Web Developer:
      • Working knowledge of any of the following PHP/HTML/CSS
      • Knowledge of version control systems such as git.
      • Knowledge of common web related exploits and vulnerabilites such as XSS, CSRF, etc.

    How to Apply:

    3. Fill out the fields
      1. In the large text field at the bottom please include some information about yourself, any supporting work, and anything you feel we should know about you or your skills that could help us.
    4. Submit the form once completed to the best of your ability.
    5. Drink a warm cup of milk or something...
    6. Watch your support request for follow-up questions or decision on your application.

     

    I am looking to fill these positions as soon as possible. More positions are likely to open in the future, however to minimize impact on the team and to keep things rolling smooth, we're slowly going to recruit help. Feel free to apply even if the role has been filled, as we will maintain your application and potentially go back to it if we're looking to fill more spots in the future.     There are two options of having your license revoked? One allows you to just rebuy it. The other option is remainder of the restart. The remainder of the restart is if the bounty hunter has kidnapped an officer or civilian who is not their bounty. Even then it's Corp+ discretion.

Henry Arnold, we suggested a whole bunch of shit and nothing got added. Simply removing the event isn't a good solution, it's just taking you ball and going home because you don't like the outcome. The cops can't win an event so you disable it, it's not the events fault, it's the cops for not using any strategy. Ask the 1-2 cops who have brains how easy the evidence lockup is to hold. But nah we should disable another event lol. You should at least make an attempt to play the server you dev for dude, instead of making shitty change after shitty change.

    Here I'll ask him. @Gen. Henry Arnold what is the whole bunch of shit they suggested be added?

    We didn't remove the event? It'll be back? I'm not gonna bother playing the server. I can just leave if you feel that I should be required to play the server lol... I 9k hours in Arma. At least 2k hours spend actually playing Asylum back in the day. I'm not a fan of how the APD on the server is ran. I'm also not a fan of the general rules regarding how some things are played on the server. I had my fun on Arma. I'm not going back to playing. You really won't get any content then if you feel we should all be playing lol...

    Nah, no reason to? The fed is fine as it is. The evidence lockup has not been very "hard" at all since day 1. It's not playing out the way that was intended at all. It's been said for a long time we'd like to see it be different. We can't just continue to let a ton of gear be farmed out of it with really no risk at all.

    We're not disabling it due to the APD? We're disabling it to prevent the easy farming of gear out of it that we don't necessarily want to see flood the economy. We've wanted to rework it for quite a while now. We just haven't known how to go about it. As I've wanted to add virtual inventory as well to it, however, with it's current easily farmed state we can't. This once again has nothing to do regarding the APD...

    As I said above. The evidence lockup hasn't been very well balanced from the start? People would just immediately cram stuff in to their house when it was first out. People with a house right outside and such... Not sure why you think it's about CEO?

  10. An update will go live in ~50 minutes that will disable the evidence lockup robbery. Due to continued and consistent starting and completion of this event and it's broken nature we've decided to temporarily disable it until we have it reworked. We are aiming to have it reworked and in with the quests update early July.

    We also fixed undercover cops spawning with titles and having their swat level attached to them...

    It is... have you tried going to an ATM and depositing some cash in your bank? This should trigger the "achievement" scan function to check if you have achievements. Once you do this it should grant you the achievement.

    Due to the unbalanced nature of shotguns at this time we've decided to make it so you can't, honestly we figured BI would've released an update to them back when they came out. Since you could basically destroy any homestead, etc with it.. The effects of a shotgun vs armored vehicles and such are also pretty unbalanced. Personally I don't think they should even be in until BI balances them better. I could use this same argument against an SDAR? Sdars are illegal, want people capturing with that?

    • Bounty Hunter license is now equal price as a Rebel License ($12,500)
    • Changed spelling of licence to license when purchasing
    • Reverted Revoke license change
    • Added ability for Corporal+ to revoke BH License for remainder of server restart (See policy update from Captains for when to use)
    • Fixed metal plate gathering in prison
    • Fixed blackjack tables
    • Fixed a script error for redgull

    If that circle is just where you hit the radiation, I don't see the issue here lol... There is no marker specifying the distance of the radiation... I'd say make basically the whole swamp radiated. Which looks like it is.

Those channels are quite open.

    That is incredibly descriptive of the issue. I would just ignore that. If you put no effort in something, why should I put effort in finding out why it's "fucked up"? If you expect it just magically be "fixed" without anyone knowing about an issue you're pretty thick skulled. I'm done with this conversation. It's obvious you're truly not caring to help improve the community, instead you're just wanting to be toxic on the forums.

    You know something? These people, INCLUDING YOU have ways of bringing this issue to our attention. Did you try ANY of those channels for this issue before complaining here? I know the answer is no on the forums. Did you PM me on discord? Nope. Did you at me in a channel? Nope. What have YOU done?

    I am 100% available on discord for people to communicate issues to me. No one does. That is not my fault.
