Afternoon all,
We discovered this morning that there was an oops made by myself when coding the gang experience. So gangs were essentially earning exp but not having it sync to the db. We're dropping a hotfix to fix this as well as a few other things as well. We were however able to get everyones gang exp extracted from the logs and wrote in to some new db queries. So when the servers restart I'll be running the queries and updating your gang exp.
TL;DR or didn't understand the above: If you were capping cartels on V2 and doing things that get you gang exp... check your gang exp/talents upon server restart..You probably have some talents...

Rust is some of the hardest servers to get a community started on... Everyone wants different wipe cycles. Everyone wants different rules. We tried on Olympus like 3 times and it failed.

What other high population arma servers have done this....? Where a streamer isn't involved. I speak from Olympus where this was done and it basically killed them.

The whitelisting will be removed in the next 36 hours or so. We're working on finalizing some tools.

See above. The whitelist isn't solely for the scripters. The whitelist will be removed soon.

Its not just hours factored in. Also another condition that we won't be disclosing at this time. The restrictions will be removed soon.

If we're not 100% accurate with what is said now, everyone picks it the fuck apart. It's annoying. I got pretty agitated last week. Even if we type out status updates on it, no one seems to read them. So figured, it's better to just ignore it, and continue on.

No that was me trying to make the current live mission work better. Which got rid of the mass kicks and brought the server crashes to light.. We crushed a few issues, but were left with one major roadblock that we couldn't fix. I didn't touch V2 until the repo was created. The rest was work on V1 testing/debugging and trying what I could to fix it...

It was never a thing until Poseidon just came around not too long ago... Proper calculations of existing talents/group talents/etc was not factored in very well clearly before implementation... Making money will be as difficult/easy as we determine it should be. Sorry to burst any bubbles.

Can you cite your references? As I haven't been here very long and it was announced April 11th here: http://www.gaming-asylum.com/forums/index.php?/topic/105292-what-is-asylum-v2/. No where in there do we state it was worked on for months prior to that? We created the Github Repository for the code (which was the BASE Altis Life 3.1.4.8) on March 20th...

2 Developers for 4 months. Henry only started contributing to the code repository about a week after Pizza Man was removed from the team (First commit was on July 15th). New content will be nice, but its not necessary for the first push to V2. Get it out to live, Give it a little while for hotfixes on current content first, then new content can come in. I can come in daily and submit a ticket over minute unimportant kinks in V2 no problem, but a priority list of what needs testing and finished would be nice.As we've stated previously, new content was not to be expected in this. We redid some menus and added some additional functionality to some things. It was well stated I feel that BH/Infamy/Honor was going to be non-existent. Medic is not on the server due to talks of making it whitelisted. However, if the issues the current servers have is still present, we know the cause is completely due to civilian/cop side and we have a lot less to go through. We want to rework the infamy/honor stuff as it's pretty OP in some regards and we want to re-balance some of it. However, having that stuff out too, helps with debugging purposes if we still have issues.

Regarding Forum Downtime
in Announcements

Hey everyone,
I first off want to apologize for the long duration of forum downtime. I have had a busy week unfortunately, and had to work this in to my schedule. While the forums have been down, they've been updated to the latest Invision Community version, which caused a plugin to have issues with ALL forum posts. The cause of forum posts being broken took me like 2 hours to figure out, eventually I narrowed it down to a certain plugin. Then I had to update all ~23,000 users via a script I made to repair some stuff.
The unfortunate thing out of all this was just that any hosted images on the site will have broken links now. That is why your signatures and avatars have been reset. If you wish to have your signature back AND it was more than just a few words or something and was something lengthy or hard to re-create.. (assuming it didn't have an image in and it was just text or something, shoot me a PM, I can get it for you). This however did free up like 40gb of space on the webserver.
Lastly, SSL is now active across all domains except our subdomains for those of you with admin/cop tools. This is due to our SSL license only being paid for the TLD (top-level domain), we do not have subdomain coverage for SSL.
Broken Images for rank icons will be replaced/added back soon. Need to get them. Also, the forums is currently "rebuilding" images in the background making them compatible with SSL if possible. So some images may show up after a while and it may just be that they're not showing due to not being processed by the server yet, as the forum system is also re-indexing everything. So the webserver is under a relatively heavy load currently.
Once again, I apologize for the downtime and the loss of any signatures/avatars. If you notice anything broken on the forums, shoot me a pm.
